We have only had 65 members and spares from last year register on line so far for the 2010-2011 season.

Please be advised that we have now opened up registration to new members and spares. Pass the word on to anyone you know who may want to register. There are already new people interested in signing up based on emails I have been receiving. So our league continues to be popular among the gay and lesbian community.

From the Ottawa Curling Club:

If you are using a men's locker at the curling club, please clear it out by this Friday April 30 so that work can begin on locker refurbishment. If the Ottawa Curling Club cleans out your locker, they will not be responsible for either the lock or contents.

The election for the 2010-2011 Executive Committee is now closed. Results will be announced April 11th at the end of season banquet and on-line.

Hello Fellow Curlers:

With another curling season almost complete, it is time to think about next season and your membership renewal.

Once again, membership registration for the 2010-2011 curling season is electronic. This was a success last year and eliminates the paper process but still provides the league with the information we require for the website and planning.

Hello Rainbow Rockers:

This is a reminder that if you have not signed up for the closing fun day and banquet on Sunday April 11th, there is still time.

There are still 7 spots open to curl at 3 pm and 3 spots open at 5 pm.

And of course, everyone is welcome to join us for the banquet followed by the presentation of cash prizes and league trophy.

The cost is $20.00 for members and $30 for spares and guests. If you have already signed up and not paid, you can pay on the day of the banquet.

This year, multiple candidates were nominated for the position of drawmaster for the 2010-2011 season. Therefore, an election is being held to select who will occupy this position on the committee.

To vote, please sign onto the Rainbow Rockers website using your personal account and go to http://www.rainbowrockers.com/executive/2010/Elections or select "Elections for Next Season" from the menu. Complete the ballot form.

Only full-time members of the Rainbow Rockers are eligible to vote, and may only vote once. Voting will close at 9:00 p.m. on April 10, 2010.

Hard to believe there is only one regular season game left! It has been a great year, but we still have the Over the Rainbow Bonspiel and the closing banquet to look forward to.
