REMINDER Rainbow Rockers Hosts Bocce for Capital Pride Health and Fitness Day

Capital Pride Health and Fitness Day is a full day of sports and games at various locations in the city this Saturday, August 21, 2010. Come for some or all of the events between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but don't miss our league-hosted Bocce game!

Events including a run, a walk, tennis, softball, heatlh advice, fitness classes, lawn games and Bocce hosted by the Rainbow Rockers Curling League:

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Riverain Park, 400 North River Rd. (where Rideau St. and Montreal Rd. connect)
Tickets: Free. Bocce equipment will be provided.
Skill level: All
Fair-weather only

Never heard of Bocce Ball? Not a problem! It's a fun and easy to learn game of "summer curling". League players will be happy to teach others. You can see for yourself if the curlers are as good on grass as they are on the ice! All are welcome. All-ages. Water and refreshments provided by Glacéau Vitamin Water™ and Capital Pride. Todric's Fine Dining and Catering (10 McArthur Ave, metres from the park) is offering 13% HST discount on brunch/lunch/dinner to participants.
