RRCL Registration for Next Season
Hello Fellow Curlers:
As Membership Coordinator, I am very pleased to announce that membership registration for the 2009-2010 curling season is electronic. This will eliminate the paper process but still provide the league with the information we require for the website and planning.
Registration
In order to guarantee your registration as a full-time member or spare for next season, go to the website at www.rainbowrockers.com before May 1st and enter your username and password. Then click on ‘Renew Membership for 2009-2010’ on the left side of the page.
Once you are in the ‘Create Membership Renewal Form’, please complete the information required. The mandatory fields are flagged with red stars. If you fail to complete one of these fields, your form will be rejected. However, you can re-edit it until all mandatory fields are completed and the form is saved. Your name and email address are not required because the system automatically records this information when you are logged in. You must be logged in under your own username when completing the registration. All members must register themselves. If you have forgotten your password, you can obtain a new one by clicking on ‘Request New Password’ in the User Login section on the home page.
It is important that you tell us whether you are registering as part of a team, as an individual curler or as a spare. If you are unsure as to whether you are curling on a team, register as an individual curler and if it turns out that you become part of a team, it is your responsibility to inform the membership coordinator as soon as possible at membership@rainbowrockers.com. Teams will be made up from the list of individual curlers in August so there is time to form a team or find a team to curl on.
Only individual curlers (not on a team) and spares are required to complete the desired team position and years of curling experience. This information will help us when we are forming teams and compiling the spares list.
Payments
Once again this year, we require each returning full-time member to pay a $50.00 deposit toward the full membership fee of $200.00. The spare fee will be $ 20.00 for the year. Our treasurer will be available on Sunday April 5th (at the banquet) to collect the deposit or spare fee. If you cannot pay on this date, you can mail a cheque (made payable to Rainbow Rockers Curling League) to the Treasurer (Steve Horwood) on or before April 30th. The address is: 221 North River Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1L 8B6. This is the deadline date for the deposit to be received so you can reserve your spot in the league for next season.
The balance of the membership fee will be due at our annual Meet and Greet in late August/early September. The exact date is to be determined and will be available on the website.
New Members
For your information, registration will open for new full-time members and new spares on May 1, 2009. It will be an on-line process for registering and the $50.00 deposit or $20.00 spare fee is to be mailed to the Treasurer. The website will be updated on May 1st with registration instructions for new members.
If you encounter any problems registering on-line or have any other questions, please email the Membership Coordinator for assistance.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the work of the league’s webmaster, Ross Thompson, for working with me on this new, much more efficient process for registration. Great job Ross!
