Make Up Ice for Rounds Two and Three
The second round of Rainbow Rockers Curling finishes on Sunday, January 25. All games must be completed and scores provided by 7 PM.
For those of you who are trying to make up games, and have not already scheduled, ice time is extremely tight this round. Arrangements have been made for ice on Saturday, January 24. Games may be played at 3 PM, 6 PM or 8:30 PM. Please e-mail president@rainbowrockers.com to confirm. Ice must be booked by this Sunday, January 18. First come, first served.
Note that January 24 is also the national playdowns. Obviously, the make up ice is not perfect for those who are competing in the playdowns. Remember that it is possible to use two spares (subject to the sparing rules). Getting a game in is better than defaulting.
Given the limited availability of ice in the third round, teams are strongly encouraged to use spares in order to proceed with scheduled games. As the Rainbow Rockers are not considered members of the Ottawa Curling Club, we do not have access to ice outside of our regularly scheduled draw times. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Thank you.
