This has been the most successful season ever for the Rainbow Rockers, with the largest roster of teams, a higher than ever level of curling, and the amazingly successful combined CGCC-OTR bonspiel. However, all good curling seasons come to an end, and the end of this one is almost here. So once again it’s time for the elections for the RRCL executive board for the 2011/2012 season.

Nominations for the 2011-2012 Executive Committee are now open for the position of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Bonspiel Chair, Promotions Coordinator, Drawmaster, and Membership.

Only current, full time members of the league may make nominations or be nominated to serve on the committee. For more information on the roles of the executive committee, please see http://www.rainbowrockers.com/executive.

Nominations will be open until midnight on April 9th, 2011. A member must be nominated by two or more members in order to be considered for a position on the executive. Members may nominate themselves. Nominees will be contacted by the election coordinator. Nominations can be submitted by sending an e-mail to elections@rainbowrockers.com. To be valid, you must include your full name and clearly indicate who you are nominating and for which position.

As members are nominated, their abbreviated name will appear on the website at http://www.rainbowrockers.com/executive. Names of those nominating will not be displayed.

Once the nomination deadline has passed, further information will be announced on elections for any contested positions. Questions can be sent to the Elections Chair at http://www.rainbowrockers.com/contact.

The league only works because of the hard work of volunteers. Please take the time to nominate and get involved in the election so the league can continue its amazing success.
