With the upcoming 2011 Over The Rainbow Bonspiel and Canadian Gay Curling Championships being hosted by the Rainbow Rockers at the Ottawa Curling Club, March 24-27, 2011, the Organizing Committee would like to solicit the assistance of the membership.

We will require the assistance of volunteers for various roles over the weekend. From selling 50/50 tickets, to helping set up the banquet, to just about everything around the club. If you have a couple of hours to volunteer, please email Geoff, at gshep@magma.ca, who is our Bonspiel Volunteer Coordinator.

Also, we need to have a list of spares available to offer to teams participating in both events, should they require a player due to illness, injury or other unforseen circumstance. To spare, you must not be a listed member of a team. This does mean that a player from the OTRB may spare in the CGCC and vice versa. If you are available, please email bonspiel@rainbowrockers.com and cite your availability, experience (usually in years), what positions you are willing to play, and supply us with a cellphone number where you can be reached.

Finally, if you aren't able to commit to volunteering or sparing (not that any of us have commitment issues!), why not pop into the club during the event to watch some great curling and make some new friends, or flirt with some old ones!?
