Registration for New Members
Registration is now open to new members for the 2009-2010 curling season. We are accepting full-time members and spares into our league.
Registration is on-line and easy. Go to http://www.rainbowrockers.com/members/renew and complete all of the required information. Please indicate if you are registering as a full-time curler (individual or as part of a team (indicate skip’s name)) or as a spare. Once you save the form, we will have your information and you will be added to our database and email distribution list. If you enter as an individual, we will place you on a team and you will have the opportunity to meet your team members at our Meet and Greet (date to be determined).

Results from the CGCC and La Quête du Roi in Montreal, April 10-13, 2009

It is with great pleasure we announce that, other than Montreal, Ottawa had the highest participation of teams in the Nationals and La Quête du Roi with seven, in Montreal over the Easter Weekend. Yet again, we were 'representing' all weekend, on and off the ice!
Nationals
Ottawa had a strong showing with Team Mantha leading the charge taking 6th place losing a tight consolation final to Team Bellavance of Montreal, and Teams Joyce and Taylor, losing in hard fought games in the consolation.
La Quête du Roi
Guaranteed Membeship Renewal Deadline is May 1st
Just at reminder that the deadline for guaranteed registration is fast approaching. After May 1st, positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to guarantee your registration as a full-time member or spare for next season, go to the website at www.rainbowrockers.com before May 1st and enter your username and password. Then click on Renew Membership for 2009-2010 on the left side of the page.
Summer Activities
With the end of our regular season, please enjoy a happy and safe summer!
You may wish to remember that the Ottawa Curling Club is a facility that will likely be available for bookings should you need a hall for other activities, such as banquets or even parties, or just a poker night.

As Membership Coordinator, I am very pleased to announce that membership registration for the 2009-2010 curling season is electronic. This will eliminate the paper process but still provide the league with the information we require for the website and planning.

In order to guarantee your registration as a full-time member or spare for next season, go to the website at www.rainbowrockers.com before May 1st and enter your username and password. Then click on ‘Renew Membership for 2009-2010’ on the left side of the page.
2009-2010 Executive Committee Has Been Selected
Nominations are now closed for the 2009-2010 Executive Committee. A special thank you goes out to all the members who took the time to nominate someone for the committee.
As a result of the nomination process, all positions have filled by acclamation, therefore there will not be any elections held this year. Results of the nomination process will be formally announced at the April 5th closing banquet.

The draws are completed for the Canadian Gay Curling Championships (CGCC) in Montreal, April 10-12, 2009 and available online at http://www.curlinglesfousduroi.qc.ca/cccg09.html for those interested.
