BareYour Bones Bonspiel - Registration Now Open!!
The Rainbow Rockers, Ottawa's queer curling league, invite you to Bare Your Bones (like you need an excuse!...) in the Nation's Capital this Hallowe'en weekend.
The first annual Bare Your Bones Bonspiel is taking place October 31 - November 2. Registration for this triple-knockout spiel is only $320 per team and opens today, at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19th. Get your team together and visit www.rainbowrockers.com/bareyourbones to register. Space is limited to 24 teams - 12 out-of-towners and 12 local Ottawa teams!
Bonspiel « Bare Your Bones »
Les Rainbows Rockers, la ligue de curling gai d'Ottawa, vous invitent à participer au Bonspiel « Bare Your Bones » (que vous avez besoin d'une excuse!...) dans la région de la capitale nationale la fin de semaine de l'Hallowe'en.
Le premier bonspiel annuel de « Bare Your Bones » aura lieu du 31 octobre au 2 novembre. L'inscription pour cet événement, qui sera de format triple-élimination, est seulement 320 $ par équipe et sera ouverte dès 9 h 00 ce vendredi, le 19 septembre. Rassemblez votre équipe et visitez le site Web www.rainbowrockers.com/bareyourbones pour vous inscrire. L'espace est limitée à 24 équipes - 12 d'en dehors de la région d'Ottawa et 12 équipes locales!
Schedule Rules 2008-2009
1) The 25 teams will be split into three divisions: A, B and C. They have been ranked to start the year based on past performance, skill level and composition of new members or teams.
2) The A and B divisions will have 8 teams each and the C division will have 9 teams.
3) There will be 3 rounds in which teams will move up or down from their respective divisions based on the following:

Curling Season Begins on October 5th
Curling Clinic, Ottawa Curling Club at 440 O’Connor Street
The OCC is hosting a curling clinic at two different times:
- Sunday October 5th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday October 7th from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
This clinic would appeal to novice and intermediate (experience -wise) curlers. Items to be covered include strategy, team dynamics, tolerance on shots, equipment critique, brushing review, delivery technique and releases.
