Rainbow Rockers Curling League

Mark Sunday, April 11 in your calendars, this will be our annual end-of-season curling and closing banquet. Registration will be held on March
14 and 21.

The schedule for Round 3 has been posted. Note that there is no curling Sunday, February 7th and a reduced schedule will be played on February 14th. Teams not playing this day have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 13 at 5:00 PM.

Due to the reduced schedule, the kitchen will not be open on February 14.

Local registration for the 5th annual Over the Rainbow Bonspiel (OTRB) will open this Sunday, February 7, 2010 at noon.

To sign up for the OTRB, complete the online registration at http://www.rainbowrockers.com and send a cheque in the amount of $370, payable to the Rainbow Rockers, to the following address:

Just a reminder that Round 2 ends this Saturday, January 30. Games are scheduled for 2, 4 and 6 PM. Be sure to check the website to confirm your game time. All make up games for Round 2 must be completed by 8 PM Saturday. Round 3 starts Sunday. Drawmaster Patrick will be confirming Sunday game times following the 6 PM draw on Saturday.

The Rainbow Rockers Curling League is proud to present the Fifth Annual Over The Rainbow Bonspiel in Ottawa, March 26 - 28, 2010.

Registration for out-of-town teams will be opening soon at www.rainbowrockers.com/OTR2010_Registration. You will receive more details in the coming weeks.

Get your team together and plan to return to Ottawa for a weekend of fun, friends (old and new) and most importantly, curling!

The Les Fous du Roi (The King's Jesters) Curling Club will hold its 2010 bonspiel February 12 to 14 at the Longue-Pointe Curling Club. Host to major competitions because of it's great ice conditions, Longue-Pointe is the perfect venue for their fun weekend!

The organization that brought you the Nationals last year is at it again: one of Montreal's finest restaurants, Le Petit Extra, will be catering the Saturday night banquet at the renowned Lion d’Or, a great hall located in the Village.

We will be hosting our next Euchre night on Saturday, January 30th. We curl on Saturday, so shortly after the final game wraps up(around 8pm) we will begin the Euchre Tournament.

The format will be 6 games, with cash prizes going to the top winners and to the player with the most lone hands. Other prizes, donated by Moosehead, will be given to the first lone hand, the lowest over-all score, and the first King-Ace of Diamonds in Rumolli. Other prizes may be given out as we see fit. We just love giving out prizes.

Please note that a Christmas curling ornament was found on the buffet table last night after our party. It was in a small, green gift bag.
